WINTER MOVEMENT CHALLENGE 2022 IS HERE!

JANUARY 1 - FEBRUARY 12, 2022

Hello! And welcome back if you are a 2021 Movement Challenger. It’s Trainer Meg, and I hope to bring some movement, joy and fun to your 2022.

THIS CHALLENGE IS FOR YOU IF:

  • You are done with New Year’s resolutions not sticking. You need some accountability and guidance.

  • You used to exercise / move / get going, and you’re finding it really hard to do that again.

  • You have never moved regularly, but know that it is good for your health, and believe (even just a little bit) that you can find a way to move that you enjoy.

  • You did the January Movement Challenge 2021 and are ready for the next, bigger challenge.

  • You want to add something POSITIVE to your fitness journey; this isn’t about shaming, losing or gaining, or comparing. This is about YOU and how you can make changes in your life that are sustainable.

  • You like prizes!

THE DETAILS:

  • Challenge runs from Jan. 1 - Feb. 12, 2021

  • $59 to enter the challenge. That’s less than $1.50/day and $10/week. The classes alone would be $105. If this makes the challenge out of reach, email meg@trainermeg.com and it’s free.

  • TWO GOAL OPTIONS:

    • Option 1: Move 20 minutes/day. Great for first-timers!

    • Option 2: Up the Challenge: Move 20 min/day the first week, 25 the second week, 30 the third week, 35 the fourth week, 40 for the fifth week and 45 for the final week.

  • ANYTHING COUNTS! THE BEST MOVEMENT IS THE ONE THAT YOU WILL DO!

    • Run : Walk : Bike : Elliptical : Stairs : Swim

    • Zumba : Strength Training : Crossfit : Online classes

    • Shoveling : Hauling Wood : Manual Labor

    • Snowshoeing : Skiing : Ice Skating : Hockey : Broomball

    • Stretching : Yoga : Pilates : Barre : Dance

  • HOW DOES IT WORK?

    • Use the provided calendar (or create a Note on your phone) to keep track of your movement.

    • Move at least 5 days/week (30 days out of 43 total) and be entered to win a prize.

    • Move EVERY DAY of the challenge and be entered to win a month of training with me ($299 value)!

    • You’ll get weekly e-mails with new workouts, motivation, playlists, and ways to stay accountable.

    • Enter your results into the Post-Challenge Survey and be entered to win prizes.

  • NEW: WEEKLY LIVE GROUP WORKOUTS (7 classes / $105 value)

    • Join the Zoom kickoff group workout on January 1, 2022 at 10:00 a.m CST. The first 15 minutes will be a general overview of the challenge, how to keep track, how to connect, etc. This workout will be accessible to ALL. I’ll give ways to make movements harder and easier.

    • Weekly workouts will take place every Saturday thereafter at 8:00 a.m. CST.

    • Not ready for a full 60-minute workout? I’ll make the workout in “chunks” so you can finish your movement goal for the day and choose to be done or continue. Ease into it!

    • Is equipment needed for live workouts? A mat, a set of medium dumbbells (5-15#), and some small circle bands are all helpful. But — you will be able to do every workout without these items, too. Load up a backpack with books, use 2 cans as weights, and substitute a large towel for a mat.

  • PRIVATE FACEBOOK GROUP

    • Join the optional Facebook group for accountability, more frequent check-ins, movement posts, and the ability to connect with others on the challenge. It can really help when you see others work through struggles and overcome challenges that you may face, too.
